Wellesley takes on the Three Peaks Challenge
On Tuesday 18th June, a number of brave Wellesley team members will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge, fundraising for the Wellesley Charitable Foundation.
This intrepid challenge is the latest in a long line of fundraising endeavours by the Wellesley team, having previously organised golf days, cycling challenges, and ‘The Great Wellesley Bake Off’. This year, we wanted to set ourselves a personal challenge that will require us to work together as a close-knit team – in keeping with our company ethos.
We have chosen the famous national challenge, the National Three Peaks Challenge. Our intrepid team will be climbing the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales respectively, conquering a total walking distance of 23 miles and scaling an ascent of 10,052 ft. The mountains in question are:
- Ben Nevis, Scotland (1,345m)
- Scafell Pike, England (978m)
- Snowdon, Wales (1,085m)
The team is fundraising for the Wellesley Charitable Foundation, aiming to raise money for local organisations in Sussex and the surrounding counties that help ill or disadvantaged children – a cause close to all of our hearts. Set up in September 2012, the Foundation has raised £102,769 for over 30 organisations so far.
This challenge is not for the faint-hearted, so please support the team and help them raise money for a great cause. You can donate via our Virgin Money Giving page:
